Manolo has traveled along an interesting and intense learning path. Whilst he was studying art in college, he started a 3 year course of modern guitar and modern music arrangement at the University of Music in Rome . 1993- special critics mention for Best Musical Arrangement at the "International Spring Festival of North Korea ”
At the same university he studied classical music composition as well as sound engineering for 2 years. During this time he also played guitar in a rock band (Danze Ufo) and worked freelance as a live sound engineer for different Venues ( Italy ). 1995- He won third prize for the International Competition of Contemporary Electronic Music "Luigi Russolo" (read more) In1998 Manolo produced and mixed the first EP of Camera Sonora.
After 2 years of extensive gigging and recording he returned to study, this time for ‘International Advanced Course in Electronic Music' at the Academy of Pescara, Italy. During his studies, Manolo has been teaching Computer Music, Acoustic, Architectonic acoustic and sound design at the Music Conservatories of Bari and Benevento Italy (EU).
He moved to London in September 2000 he has worked as a freelance Mixing Engineer / Producer at the Rossiter Road Studios and taught Sound Engineering in several different colleges including the College of North East London.
Manolo has recently mixed debut Albumof the producer Hardage. Scond Album (mixer/mastering), Romina Johnson. Other credits include mixing for
Peter Gabriel, Michele Franti, Mark King (Level42), Maxi Priest, Robbie Craig, Jocelyn Brown, Gaudi, Barbara Tucker, Angie Brown, Kym Mazelle, Taka Boom, Brian Allen,
Jill Scott, Delta Goodrem and many more.
In the last seven years Manolo has also engineered, mixed albums and co-produced singles for Bacci Bros Productions.
Manolo is also the president of Dimensione Europea's Music Department. DE is an association (italy) with the aim to build fora of discussions and find solutions to help the process of Europeanisation. Read more.
